Summary: Conquers the Leopard
Comment: I've been a Mac person since 1992 - just bought a MacBookPro and wss chugging along fine...till a couple of applications disappear from the Dock. (If you don't know what a Dock is, you really need this book!)
How do I figure this out? I type half a dozen phrases into the help form...no luck. So I look up this book and there it was. I learn all sorts of other things too.
Well, sometimes the online manuals just don't go far enough or they're too cumbersome to use. Who wants to spend half an hour tracking down a single phrase? When that happens, this book nicely fills the gap.
Easy and fun to read with many clear diagrams and screen shots. A nice companion to your new Mac!

Summary: This is not a "little" book!!
Comment: I was seeking a pocket reference for my new Mac and figured since this was called "The Little Mac Book" (and had lots of good reviews) that it would be perfect. I can't speak to the content of this book, but...here's a heads up: This is NOT A LITTLE BOOK and by no means will fit in your pocket. Of course I should've looked more closely since the book's dimensions ARE provided with the description here. Yet another reason to shop at the bookstore. Oh well...live and learn!

Comment: The LMB (little Mac Book) was just what I was looking for.... it reviewed some of the basics, and did not assume that I knew more than I really did...glad I got it; wish I would have gotten the LMB for Tiger two years ago... I'd get the next LMB for the next new OS, whenever it makes it's appearance.... it does not assume you're a complete dummy; and was a little too basic in some areas, but great in others... And I love the discounted price....
